4th of July Parade for 3rd Ward!

Please join me, my family, and dozens of other 3rd Ward neighbors as we walk together Wednesday in the Lansing 4th of July Parade. We have ordered 3rd Ward and Loving It t-shirts, as well as a banner to announce to the city that we are together as friends & neighbors.

Part of my overall strategy for the 3rd Ward is branding and neighborhood communications. With this small step, we are working on both at once. We plan to show the city and the whole region that Southwest Lansing residents are proud of our area, neighborhoods, schools, and history. The Westside and Eastside neighborhoods are doing a tremendous job working together to promote their part of the city. Now it is time for us to step up.

Please join us at 10:00 am Wednesday July 4 for the parade that starts at 11:00 am. If you want more details, please email me at bill@billmatt.org, or call me at home at 394-5582.

UAW Endorses William Matt

Exciting news this week. The UAW Region 1C Union which represents Lansing City Employees endorsed me as their candidate for the 3rd Ward Lansing City Council race.

I am proud of my association, and appreciate the endorsement. Currently I am a part of MSU's APSA bargaining unit, and I volunteer to serve on our negotiating team representing almost 1,000 members. I will work with our partners in labor to ensure job security and fair wages.

WELCOME!

This is my first post, and I wanted to test out the new system.

Special thanks to Mickey Hadick for setting up the website billmatt.org!
